About Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce

Since 1938, Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce has stood as the unified voice of the Grand Strand's business community. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has awarded the MBACC its five-star accreditation, one of only a few chambers in South Carolina to earn this distinction. MBACC serves Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Surfside Beach, Little River, Atlantic Beach, Garden City Beach, Loris, Conway, Aynor, Murrells Inlet, Litchfield Beach, Pawleys Island, Socastee and Carolina Forest.

Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce is a community association made up of business people for the promotion of commercial interests. MBACC is not an entity of city government. Although the chamber receives some funding from local and state governments, these dollars are in the form of grants earmarked solely for marketing the area. No government money is used toward the organization's operations.

Unlike most chambers nationwide, Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce encompasses convention and visitor bureau functions, making it the area's primary destination-marketing organization. While promoting tourism, the Grand Strand's top industry, is a major part of the chamber's program of work, the chamber offers benefits and services of value to businesses of every size and type.
