On behalf of the Myrtle Beach Area Hospitality Association (MBAHA) and Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, welcome to the Grand Strand and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Every summer we are happy to welcome students from other countries who come here to visit our community. We are grateful for the opportunity to meet as many of you as possible and to learn about your cultures and home countries. We have prepared this booklet as a guide to help you during your stay.

The Grand Strand and Myrtle Beach area covers approximately 60+ miles of uninterrupted coastline. Primarily located in Horry and Georgetown counties, the Grand Strand is known as America's Family Playground. Tourism population soars weekly to over to half a million in the peak seasons.

There are currently more than 98,000 rooms available on the Grand Strand which include; hotel, motel, condos cottages and campgrounds. You will find more than 1,700 restaurants and numerous attractions, entertainment, and golf venues
