Local Marketing Opportunities for Members

The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce offers members a variety of ways to market their business. Below is a list of marketing opportunities that members can use to reach local residents and other chamber members.

Visitor Centers

Brochure & Business Card Racks: Gain valuable access to new customers by marketing your services through business card and brochure racks in our Oak Street and South Strand welcome centers. It's a free benefit of membership.
Monthly Calendar of Events & Theater Schedule: A monthly calendar of events is available at each of the welcome centers. Events can be submitted online at GrandStrandEvents.com. During season, theater schedules are included on the calendar of events.

Publications

Grand Strand Living: A comprehensive guide for those looking to relocate to the area and the primary business publication for established residents.
Grand Strander: MBACC's member newsletter - hard copy and electronic.
Member-to-Member Discounts: This program encourages members to buy from other members to save money, increase visibility and promote new business for their companies.

Inquiry Opportunities

Membership List: Reach more than 2,400 area businesses and organizations with the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce membership mailing list.
Member-to-Member Email: An affordable way for members to advertise their special offers, share fundraising activities or provide other information to MBACC members.

Online Marketing

Enhanced Business Directory Links: Each member of the chamber is entitled to five free listings in the Business Directory. For a small fee, the chamber will make the link stand out by putting it in a color box and bolding the text.
Segmented Accommodations E-Mail Blasts: Segmented email blasts offer an affordable way for those in the accommodations sector to reach highly targeted traffic.
SeeMyrtleBeach.com: Partners can link to this site that includes non-lodging advertising partners.
GrandStrandRestaurants.com: Promote your dining establishment for free on
GrandStrandRestaurants.com - Restaurant of the Month, Recipe of the Month, Restaurant News, plus free radio interviews on Easy 105.9 and Easy 100.7.

Special Member Events Sponsorships

Annual Membership Meeting: The Annual Meeting recognizes the chamber's accomplishments over the last year as well as announcing the winners of the MBACC business awards. These awards celebrate the Grand Strand's most successful businesses and individuals.
Member-to-Member Expo: MBACC's annual Member-to-Member Business Expo is known for its cost-efficient way to promote your products/services to hundreds of other business professionals with tabletop displays.
Grand Strand Legislative Luncheon: The luncheon is a great opportunity for members to meet their local and state representatives and learn about the chamber's legislative agenda. Members of the Horry-Georgetown Legislative Delegation participate in Q&A.
ICE Awards: The Incredible Customer Experience Awards recognizes 12 businesses that have raised the bar of hospitality and 12 individuals who have excelled in customer service.

Chamber/Community Events Sponsorships

Behind the Scenes: This networking event combines making contacts while learning about unique businesses along the Grand Strand. Hosted by different Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce businesses at their locations, members get a Behind the Scenes look at their fellow member businesses all while enjoying small group networking.
Business Before, During or After Hours: Business Before, During or After Hours is one of Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce's most effective networking tools. All member businesses and their employees are invited to this free monthly gathering. It's a great opportunity to interact with others while enjoying complimentary refreshments. Plus it's an inexpensive way to advertise your business.
Chamber Academy Series: The Chamber Academy offers educational opportunities to all members and their employees. As a chamber member, you can help support the educational advancement of members and their employees by sponsoring an educational event or series.
ChristmasTowne: Join us for a community celebration featuring activities for the kids, holiday entertainment, free photos with Santa, and the official lighting of the city's Christmas tree. Christmas Towne is Horry County's free holiday event.
Grand Strand Fishing Rodeo: The Grand Strand Fishing Rodeo was created to highlight saltwater fishing opportunities in the Myrtle Beach area and provide another dimension for vacation and recreational planning.

Festivals Sponsorships

Sun Fun Festival: The Grand Strand kicks off summer with the Annual Sun Fun Festival. The festival features celebrity meet and greets, food, arts and crafts vendors and a summerlong concert series.
Beach, Boogie & BBQ: During the annual Beach, Boogie & BBQ Festival, South Carolina's Official Barbeque Championship takes place. Attendees can enjoy free concerts, kids games and car shows.
Canadian-American Days: Each year, the Myrtle Beach area rolls out the red carpet for Canadian and American visitors during the Canadian-American Days. The event includes a line up of fun activities, giveaways and concerts taking place throughout the Grand Strand.
Myrtle Beach MayFest: From food and wine festivals to live entertainment and music, MayFest offers a little bit of beachside fun for everyone.
