The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to Nov. 30. The following information is provided to help you plan before, during and after a hurricane.

Reporting During and After a Storm

  • Business Survey – In the event of a hurricane or other business interruption, this survey will allow the chamber to know the status of chamber investor businesses so that we can pass the information along to those who inquire. 
     
  • MyCoast South Carolina - Portal for DHEC to collect and analyze pictures and data relating to coastal events. King Tides and Storm Witness allow people to send photos of high tides and storm damage.
     
  • Media Sightings – If you see regional or national media on or nearby your property before, during or after a hurricane or tropical storm, please call a member of the Area Recovery Council's (ARC) Communications Committee as soon as possible.
