The first cleanup was conducted in the area around Pepper Geddings Recreation Center and was combined with a school supply drive on Aug. 18. Our volunteers collected 61 pounds of trash in two hours. We extend our sincere gratitude to the businesses and individuals that generously contributed supplies in support of the students at Myrtle Beach Primary School including Bay Pawn & Jewelry, South Carolina Federal Credit Union and Grand Palms Resort.

Kasey Harkins, who works at the chamber’s airport visitors center, had the heaviest bag of the day with 14 pounds of trash.
