Waccamaw Community Foundation is a philanthropic organization that helps improve the quality of life in Horry and Georgetown Counties. The nonprofit makes charitable giving simple and effective by offering people creative ways to establish and manage funds that will positively impact the Waccamaw region for generations.
Waccamaw Community Foundation has awarded more than $24 million in grants since its founding in 1999.
They also support local disaster relief by serving as the primary point of financial donations for recovery efforts in Horry, Georgetown and Williamsburg counties. Those disaster funds are distributed in partnership with local Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) to support both immediate and long-term recovery.
