They are helping hands, kind words and loving hearts. They are co-workers and friends. They are the generous people of the Grand Strand who give their time, talent and energy to help the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. They are volunteers.
Volunteers play an important role in the daily workings of the chamber. They serve on committees ranging from finance and governmental affairs to publications and membership. They are what make the Sun Fun Festival, Grand Strand Fishing Rodeo and other chamber sponsored festivals a success. Volunteers help at chamber networking events, trade shows and in the office. It is this spirit of giving that the chamber would like to honor as we search for the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce 2010 Volunteer of the Year.
At this event, a Volunteer of the Year will be recognized during the celebration. This individual is someone who has volunteered his or her time, talent and energy to help the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. The honoree demonstrates the true spirit of service by helping the chamber promote, protect and improve the Grand Strand. Nominations are solicited on the chamber's Web site.
