Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union was recently presented with a CUNA Diamond Award. The national awards recognize outstanding marketing and business development achievements in the credit union industry.

Congratulations to Christine Clark, with RE/MAX Southern Shores, who has earned her way into the RE/MAX Hall of Fame, which honors highly successful agents who have a specific length of service and commissions earned.

Mary Gianforte, a certified diabetes educator and dietitian with the Tidelands Health Diabetes Center, was named the 2019 National Diabetes Prevention Program Lifestyle Change Coach of the Year.

Tidelands Health radiation oncology program earned reaccreditation from the American College of Radiology. The health system’s radiation oncology program is one of only a dozen such programs in South Carolina to earn the distinction.

Tidelands Health marketing and communications department earned a dozen awards – including five first-place honors – in the South Carolina Press Association’s annual awards contest. Tidelands Health won first place in the reporting-in-depth category for its comprehensive coverage of Hurricane Florence last year, including the health system’s preparations and how it weathered the storm, as well as tips for residents in the storm’s path. Other first-place awards: Public relations program for the 2017 annual report; Electronic newsletter/publication for the MyCarolinaLife.com e-newsletter; Sports reporting for a story about a pitcher who returned to the mound after recovering from an injury; Feature writing for a story about a popular cook in the hospital cafeteria.

Pam Warren, association manager with Tradd Management, has earned the CMCA designation.

Dr. Robert Farrar and Mr. Robert Hucks, II have been appointed to Horry Georgetown Technical College’s Area Commission, the nine-member governing board of the college.
