APPLAUSE! APPLAUSE!

Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union was recently named Best in Banking in the WMBF Best of the Grand Strand Contest. This annual contest was created by WMBF News in 2014, as a way for those in our area to nominate and vote for their favorite businesses along the Grand Strand and recognize those businesses as the best, based on WMBF’s viewers.

Barbara Streeter, with Conway Glass, was presented with an award for her extraordinary contributions in the ARTS at the first Conway Mayor's Awards Banquet.

Horry-Georgetown Technical College announced that the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges Board of Trustees has reaffirmed the college’s accreditation for an additional 10 years, completing an extensive process that began in 2016. SACSCOC accreditation provides for the ease of the transfer of credits to four-year universities and allows HGTC to offer federal financial aid for approved programs. For the first time in its history, the college received no recommendations for improvement and is not required to submit any additional reports.

Congratulations to Nancy Skelley, Gene Carter, Bradi Minchillo, Kim Stevens and Richard Singleton, with RE/MAX Southern Shores, who have earned their way into the RE/MAX Hall of Fame, which honors highly successful agents who have a specific length of service and commissions earned. Less than 23 percent of the RE/MAX network has achieved this award.
