In the wake of Hurricane Helene, the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce (MBACC) is partnering with The Blood Connection to host a community blood drive to meet the ongoing demand for blood donations across the Southeast following Hurricane Helene.

On Thursday, Oct. 17, anyone who wishes to donate blood is welcome from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Blood Connection clinic at 1217 38th Ave N. in Myrtle Beach.

All donors will receive a $50 eGift card as a thank-you, which can be kept or donated to hurricane relief charities supporting the Western Carolinas like Samaritan’s Purse and North Carolina Foundation for Nursing.

“Blood donations are essential during any emergency, and after Hurricane Helene, the need is even more urgent,” said Chelsea Holler, TBC Donor Resources. “This is an opportunity for our community to come together and provide lifesaving support for our neighbors in the community.”

The Blood Connection provides blood to hospitals, EMS and air transport services throughout the Carolinas, Georgia and Virginia. All blood donations made to TBC ensures your blood is used at a local hospital—providing lifesaving blood products to your neighbors and family.
