Southwest Airlines Announced as Presenting Sponsor for Winter Wonderland at The Beach

Myrtle Beach Festivities Include Family Fun Zone, Pictures with Santa & Free Holiday Lights Along the Boardwalk

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.—The City of Myrtle Beach in partnership with the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce (MBACC) and Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) are pleased to announce Southwest Airlines® as presenting sponsor of Myrtle Beach’s Winter Wonderland at The Beach festivities. This is the second year Southwest® has been the presenting sponsor of the event.

Southwest helped make last year’s inaugural event a huge success, bringing a magical winter experience to downtown Myrtle Beach. Since Southwest began offering year-round service at MYR in 2021, they’ve been a great partner to the Grand Strand,” said MBACC President and CEO Karen Riordan.

Southwest Airlines provides year-round service at Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) with current nonstop flights offered to nine destinations, depending on the season, including:  Baltimore/Washington (BWI); Chicago (MDW); Columbus, Ohio (CMH); Dallas (Love Field) (DAL); Denver (DEN); Kansas City, Mo. (MCI); Nashville (BNA);  Pittsburgh (PIT); and St. Louis (STL).

Winter Wonderland at The Beach presented by Southwest Airlines will be held Nov. 17 – Dec. 23, 2022, along the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk from SkyWheel Myrtle Beach to the 2nd Avenue Pier. This year, the lights are free to experience. Tickets for individual attractions in the Family Fun Zone are $1 or an all-day wristband for $5 each. The Family Fun Zone is open Thursday through Sunday, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and located at 9th Ave. North. Photos with Santa are available on Saturdays, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The Family Fun Zone will be closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
