Your Chamber is Here to Help Promote, Protect and Improve

As you know, we are in the middle of an unprecedented and very difficult time in our community.  Our hearts go out to those who have been impacted by this disease and those who have had to temporarily close or significantly alter business plans due to this global health crisis.

We know that right now you need resources to help your business. Your chamber team is working diligently to gather those resources and provide them to you in daily email and website updates and on our social media channels.

This situation continues to change rapidly, and information is coming quickly from the local, state and federal levels and we want you to know you can count on us to keep you updated throughout the duration of this event.

Especially important for small businesses right now is to look at the options for relief from the newly passed CARES Act. We have added several resources to our website to help you understand the various benefits of the CARES Act and how to apply for the various loans. As more information and webinars become available, we will add that to our list of resources as well.

I also want to assure you that right now we are spending the vast majority of our time developing a recovery plan for our small businesses as well as a tourism recovery plan so when it’s appropriate and strategically sound to bring back visitors, we will be ready to do so with all of the vigor that your chamber and CVB have to muster in terms of financial and marketing resources. 

I want to leave you with this one final thought. Our community is very resilient.  We have faced many challenges in the past; storms, hurricanes, floods, 9/11, and through them all we have not only survived, but we have come together and actually thrived after the event. I know this will happen again, even though it doesn’t seem possible right now. We will do well, we will prosper, we will persevere after COVID-19 has subsided.
