What Will Partnership Grand Strand Do?

The initiative will support partner organizations and communities by providing dedicated staff, increased resources and funding for new catalytic projects that will strengthen four equally essential and interconnected pillars of success: prosperity, talent, place and infrastructure.

prosperity, talent, place, infrastructure

It was developed from hundreds of pages of data and feedback from hundreds of local public and private sector leaders and subject matter experts. And it is designed to serve as a force multiplier for our critically important economic development, workforce, downtown, and public policy partners throughout the region – to help them go further faster.

The campaign will fund new staff and more resources to execute specific strategies, tactics and new resources focused on the pillars of success helping fuel the region’s long-term economic prosperity and quality of life.

What are the expected results and outcomes? How will this benefit me?

Partnership Grand Strand will create a more resilient economy with new and saved jobs in target industry sectors.

Just 1,000 jobs created by this initiative will result in:

  • The creation of an additional 846 new indirect (supplier/vendor) and induced (service) jobs
  • $111.77 million in new annual payroll
  • $62.6 million in new annual personal consumer expenditures

That growth leads to

  • New personal income being spent in Horry and Georgetown counties, benefiting all businesses
  • New capital investment and redevelopment in downtown and along the oceanfront
  • Increased transportation capacity and better mobility for residents and tourists
  • Improvement in the area’s workforce quality, quantity, and alignment
  • Enhanced quality of place and life for residents and workers throughout the area
  • Continued expansion to support more jobs

Campaign, Budget and Investor Engagement Opportunities

Our goal is to raise $3 million to fully implement the Partnership Grand Strand initiative during the next five years. The campaign officially kicked off Feb. 24, 2022 and any business, nonprofit, foundation or individual may become and investor.

The campaign includes five-year pledge levels ranging from $5,000 to more than $500,000 and includes tiered benefits such as:

  • Leadership and engagement opportunities with leading CEOs and community decision-makers
  • Exclusive networking and marketing opportunities
  • All investors listed as a preferred vendor shared with new and expanding companies
  • Initiative implementation opportunities to guide long-term economic growth plans
  • Exclusive access to the latest community and economic development news, wins, projects, and trends.
