Get to know Pam

Tell us about your job position and some of your typical work tasks.
I’m the Business Development Manager for the chamber. I meet with potential member/investor businesses to hear their stories. Then I share with them how their business   could benefit from the many resources, events, exposure opportunities, etc. available to them as an Investor in our organization. 

Favorite food
The biggest honey crisp apple I can find! Brussels sprouts are a close second!

Favorite drink
Iced coffee!

How do you give back to the community?
I have had many ways to give back to our community through the chamber. One that I enjoy each year is participating in our young professional’s group, GSYP, and their event, “Subs for Santa.”  We have so many wonderful nonprofit organizations to volunteer with, participate in 5K’s, golf tournaments, to volunteer time and give financially.  I’m involved in one of our local Rotary Clubs. I love my church. We have many opportunities to serve our congregation and then through our outreach programs to the community. One of those is helping prepare and serve a meal for the men at New Direction's Men's Shelter one Sunday night a month. This is such a blessing to me - to encourage the men and to support New Directions and the mission they are on to support and help “move forward” the homeless in our community. I hope to always be able to give and serve!

What’s your favorite thing to do in Myrtle Beach?
I love to experience whatever is going on. Chamber events, other special events, festivals, the live theaters, movies, concerts, the local restaurants. I enjoy attending and supporting the local schools and other groups providing music and theater opportunities for the Grand Strand children. The talent is amazing!
