As part of its mission, Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce is committed to helping influence legislation and public policy to benefit our community and your business. MBACC investors are encouraged to participate in the investor-driven Advocacy Council, which is comprised of MBACC investors engaged in the public policy arena. Each year, the council unveils its legislative priorities, which are based on survey results of investors' concerns and issues for the upcoming legislative session.

Every year, we travel to Columbia to meet with members of the S.C. General Assembly to show appreciation to the state senators and representatives for the time they spend working on the many issues impacting Grand Strand businesses. Don't miss your chance to talk about issues important to our area and help educate the legislators about the significant impact the Grand Strand has on the state's economy. Complimentary transporation is available.

Myrtle Beach Area Chamber’s Legislative Luncheon is your chance to connect with elected representatives from across the Grand Strand. Members of the Horry-Georgetown Legislative Delegation are invited for a panel discussion on the upcoming session and issues of importance to the business community.

Minority-Owned Business Contest

In celebration of National Small Business Week in May and in continuing efforts to support and engage minorities in business, the chamber is partnering with TD Bank to award membership to minority-owned businesses.

TD Bank is sponsoring the cost of one year’s dues for four minority-owned businesses. The winning businesses and their employees will have full access to all benefits of chamber membership including a listing in the business directory, free job listings on our Job Board, discounts through our money-saving programs and invitations to networking events and education classes.
