Reentry/Road Conditions/Important Telephone Numbers

Reentry Information

  • Horry County Reentry – Reentry will be conducted in phases beginning with allowing those with Level I access into the impacted areas to restore essential services and infrastructure.
  • Public Information Phone System (PIPS) – 866-246-0133 – This phone line is staffed in Columbia, providing information on evacuations, shelters, damage assessment and reentry. This number is activated once an evacuation is ordered.
  • Business/Organization Reentry Process - The state provides a system for post-disaster reentry certification for businesses and organizations that assist in the restoration of utilities and other services. The South Carolina Department of Commerce coordinates the program. To learn more, click here.  
  • Online Traffic Tools and Evacuation Routes - South Carolina Department of Transportation offers an online interactive traffic map to help users find routes best suited for their needs year-round. SCDOT provides a GIS map outlining all evacuation routes for the state. If traveling between states, visit the U.S. Department of Transportation's Traffic and Road Closure Map and click the appropriate state.
