A Father’s Place Named July Nonprofit of the Month

A Father's Place is our Nonprofit of the Month sponsored by South Atlantic Bank.

The nonprofit helps fathers overcome barriers to becoming a responsible and involved father.

They offer fathers multiple education programs and services including employment coaching, guidance on the child support system and legal issues related to fatherhood, mediation with the child's mother and family members and providing access to healthcare education, screenings and referrals.

There also are peer group sessions that give father's a safe space to talk and support each other.

A Father's Place has served more than 2,100 fathers impacting more than 5,000 children since it was established in 2002. The nonprofit serves Horry, Georgetown, Marion and Williamsburg counties.
