A&I Fire and Water Restoration is an award-winning full-service general contractor servicing North and South Carolina. The company was named our January Leading Business of the Month sponsored by South State Bank.
A&I has been a member since 1980, though their story started in 1974. The company was founded by Billy Alford, Danny Isaac and Danny Isaac Jr. who built the company as a response to the Grand Strand needing a restoration company to help in times of crisis such as house fires or water disasters. Services expanded over the years including mold remediation, graffiti removal, crime scene clean up, and document and media restoration.
Over the years they’ve rebuilt countless residential and commercial properties. Among the more notable restoration efforts is repairing Dead Dog Saloon after fire damaged an estimated 70 percent of the restaurant the night of Fat Tuesday in 2012.
A&I has locations in Charleston, Florence, Wilmington and of course Myrtle Beach.
In addition to their restoration efforts, A&I proudly serves and gives back to the community. They have been sponsors of chamber organized police appreciation breakfasts as well as working with esteemed organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and United Way of Horry County.
A&I staff volunteer on many boards and committees throughout the communities they serve.
A&I President Danny Isaac Jr. is a past chair of the chamber’s board of directors. As is their CEO, Todd Setzer, who also served as the chair of the Leadership Grand Strand Board of Regents from 2016-2017.
About Leading Business of the Month
The first Wednesday of every month, Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce announces a Leading Business of the Month. This special promotion, sponsored by South State Bank, recognizes a company that has been a member of Myrtle Beach Area Chamber for a minimum of five years. The business is randomly selected. The company displays a banner at their place of business for one month recognizing them as the Leading Business of the Month.
TD Bank is excited to sponsor the chamber’s Educated Voices On Leading and Valuing Equity (EVOLVE) series as we seek ways to better understand and respect one another. We are committed to demonstrating strong and sustained action to support diverse colleagues, customers and communities to contribute to meaningful, measurable change.
