The restaurant located at 504 16th Ave. N. in Myrtle Beach is owned and operated by Mike Chestnut and his wife Maxine. Mike was influenced by his mother, who seemed to work like magic in the kitchen. He started working in the restaurant industry in Myrtle Beach at age 12. He always wanted to have a place where people could enjoy a good meal like it was made at his mama's house. At Big Mike's the promise is a good meal at a fair price. A meal that feeds your soul and your belly.

The menu includes fried chicken, fried pork chops, fried fish, collard greens and cornbread and so much more. Big Mike's is open for lunch and dinner and offers catering, too.
