Goldfinch Winslow Law Firm welcomed Allie Argoe, attorney, and Alisha Gardner, paralegal, to their team.

Michael Maely has joined LHWH Advertising and Public Relations as the new business development director, and Justine Schwindel has joined as a content strategist.

Bryant Evans, with RE/MAX Southern Shores, has received the RE/MAX Hall of Fame Award, which honors highly successful agents who have a specific length of service and commissions earned. Less than 23 percent of the RE/MAX network has achieved this prestigious award. 

Dr. Salim Gerhard Ghorra, board-certified, fellowship-trained general surgeon, has joined the medical staff of Tidelands Health, and Carl Lindquist has been named director of strategic communications and advocacy for Tidelands Health.

Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce announced the following promotions: Cindy Gettig has been promoted to vice president of Business Development; Kasey Harkins has been named Airport Visitor Center manager; and Andrea Hardwick was promoted to Oak Street Visitor Center assistant manager. In addition, the chamber welcomed Heather Edwards as the new accounting specialist.

Coldwell Banker Chicora Advantage announced that they were named 2019 Platinum Award winner by the Cartus Broker Network, the nation’s largest relocation network. Platinum is the highest level of the Excellence Awards presented to principal brokers

Horry Georgetown Technical College recognized three standout employees at the South Carolina Technical Education Association’s (SCTEA) Annual Conference. HGTC’s Educator of the Year Award recipients were: Heather Hoppe, registrar, in the administrator category; Chef Geoffrey Blount of the International Culinary Institute of Myrtle Beach in the faculty category; and April Garner, director of HGTC’s career resource center, in the staff category. Professor Casey King also was a finalist for the A. Wade Martin Innovator of the Year award for his work with the HGTC Addiction and Recovery Series. In addition, HGTC’s Phi Theta Kappa chapter, Alpha Nu Sigma, won first place in the Student Community Involvement Project competition at the SCTEA’s Annual Conference. The group’s project, Honors in Action, focused on raising awareness in the local community of human trafficking in Horry and Georgetown counties.   

Two Tidelands Health nursing assistants have earned awards for their positive attitudes and the compassionate care they provide to patients. Mary Ann Trotter and April Nichole Johnson were recently recognized with “Caring Hearts” awards, which are granted each year to Tidelands Health team members who demonstrate extraordinary teamwork and a commitment to help patients, visitors and fellow Tidelands Health team members.

Scott E. McNew, with Tradd Commercial, has been awarded the NAR National Commercial Award. Award recipients are REALTOR® members of the National Association of REALTORS® and nominated by their state or local board or commercial group for recognition of their professional achievements at the national level.
