New Employees

Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union announced that Hattie Livingston was recently promoted to training and program developer. Livingston was hired as a teller in 2014 and has since held the role of a teller supervisor and member service representative at the Carolina Trust 21st Avenue branch. In her new role, Livingston will serve Carolina Trust’s members and staff by facilitating the Credit Union’s overall employee training functions. Her primary responsibility will be to teach, motivate, lead, coach, and develop all staff within the Credit Union on all items necessary to comply with regulations.

Fahlgren Mortine was named to PRNEWS 2022 Agency Elite Top 100. The list is designed to demonstrate the wide range of industry specializations and core capabilities that public relation encompasses. This year’s list highlights firms of all sizes, of all ages (the oldest agency having been founded in 1946; the youngest in 2020), in all regions of the country.

Marketing Association of Credit Unions recently announced the winners of its annual MAC Awards, including Carolina Trust’s Gold Awards in Sponsorship/Partnership Marketing for Living Local Carolina and Video Non-Commercial for Living Local Carolina; Silver in Outdoor for Billboards and Electronic Marketing for HubSpot Campaign with Brand Ambassador Emails; Bronze in Image Enhancement/ Public Relations for Brand Ambassador, Crisis Response for COVID-19 Response, Comprehensive Campaign for Mortgage Camp. Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union was recognized as a multi MAC Award recipient due to their achievements from their marketing strategies, which were evaluated based on objectives, target audience, overall strategy, competitive factors and return on investment.  

Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union recently received the Historic Preservation Commission’s Horry County Legacy Business Award. The Legacy Business Recognition Program pays tribute to local businesses that have contributed to the economic heritage of Horry County for more than 50 continuous years.

Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union has been awarded on the Forbes list of America’s Best-In-State Credit Unions 2021. This prestigious award is presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider. 

Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union was named Best in Banking in the WMBF Best of the Grand Strand contest for the third year in a row. They were also named Best Mortgage Company.

Horry-Georgetown Technical College Teacher Education Department Chair, Becky Hubbard, was recently sworn in as a Guardian ad Litem (GAL) for South Carolina. As a GAL volunteer, Hubbard will work with the SC Department of Children’s Advocacy to advocate for the best interests of abused/neglected children in South Carolina.   

Horry-Georgetown Technical College President Dr. Marilyn Murphy Fore was presented with the Order of the Palmetto at the 2021 HGTC Commencement Ceremony. The presentation of the award was not on the program and came as a complete surprise to President Fore. Gov. Henry McMaster presented the award after she honored him with the HGTC Distinguished Patron Award.
