Celebrate Christmas in July and Support Substitutes for Santa

Grand Strand Young Professionals is celebrating Christmas in July with several fundraisers benefiting Substitutes for Santa - an annual event held in partnership with SOS Care that provides a magical Christmas experience to 150 children in Horry County.

During the event, the children are first taken to Fun Warehouse for games and pizza, then they are taken to Walmart to buy presents. Each child also is sent home with a bag of necessary household items and toiletries. Sponsorships and fundraisers make the event possible.

The following are Christmas in July events scheduled to support Substitutes for Santa this year.

Brews to Benefit: July 1 at Tidal Creek Brewhouse. $1 from each beer sold between 5 and 7 p.m. on July 1 will be donated to Substitutes for Santa.

Spaghetti Wednesday: Beachfront Kitchen & Bar is donating proceeds from it’s Spaghetti Wednesday on July 10 between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. to Substitutes for Santa. For $12.99, enjoy a salad, garlic bread and plate of spaghetti with meat sauce. $10 from each meal will be donated. Orders are for available dine in, carry out or pick up.

WonderWorks Ticket Offer: WonderWorks is offering tickets at a special rate to support Substitutes for Santa. From July 21 through July 28, you can purchase “Buy Now, Use Later” tickets for $15 where $5 from each ticket will directly support the charity event. Tickets may only be purchased online during the event dates with code GSYP at checkout. Taxes are not included.

Christmas in July at BurgerFi: Fuel your appetite for giving back at BurgerFi at 106 Sayebrook Pkwy. in Myrtle Beach on July 24 from 4-8 p.m. When you order, tell the staff you’re there for GSYP and 20% of your order will be donated to Substitutes for Santa.
