Dominion Energy Named October Leading Business of the Month

Dominion Energy was honored as our Leading Business of the Month sponsored by South State Bank for October 2022.

Dominion Energy is an electric and natural gas company headquartered in Richmond, Va. with about 1.2 million electric and natural gas customers in the Palmetto State.

Dominion Energy is working toward net zero emissions and is committed to reaching the goal by 2050.

In 2021, Dominion Energy donated more than $4 million to worthy causes in South Carolina in support of basic human needs, environmental stewardship, education enrichment, and community vitality. Dominion Energy also continues to support organizations dedicated to social justice and educational equity. They also were a sponsor of our inaugural Ignite Women's Conference.

Each month, Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce announces a Leading Business of the Month. This special promotion, sponsored by South State Bank, recognizes a company that has been a member of Myrtle Beach Area Chamber for a minimum of five years. The business is randomly selected. The company displays a banner at their place of business for one month recognizing them as the Leading Business of the Month.
