Nov. 29 is Giving Tuesday and all area nonprofits would appreciate donations. Here’s some with special events or fundraising drives.
Santa’s Village Christmas Drive
Formerly called Project Christmas, this annual fundraiser by the Horry County Sheriff’s Office, Sons & Daughters of Italy and KingOne Properties International collects gifts for Horry County children. The chamber’s Oak Street Welcome Center is one of several drop off locations. Online donations also are available. Learn more
Associated Charities Special Sale
Associated Charities annual “New With Tags” sale is open to the public with name brand, new with tags clothing for all ages as well as gift items and stocking stuffers. Shop the sale for holiday gifts. Shop sales benefit Associated Charities which assists the homeless and impoverished in the Myrtle Beach area. Learn more
The Salvation Army Angel Tree Program
Adopt an angel with the Salvation Army or make a financial contribution online.
Help 4 Kids
As the weather turns colder, Help 4 Kids is in need of warm clothes to help children stay warm. Kids sizes of underwear, socks, coats and winter hats. Donations can be taken to their office at 2523 Forestbrook Road in Myrtle Beach Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
