Grand Strand Down Syndrome Society Named October Nonprofit of the Month

Grand Strand Down Syndrome Society is our October Nonprofit of the Month sponsored by South Atlantic Bank.

October also is Down Syndrome Awareness Month.

The mission of the Grand Strand Down Syndrome Society is to make life better for people in our community who have Down Syndrome and their families and caregivers. The nonprofit offers programs and services for people with Down Syndrome as well as support for parents of children with Down Syndrome.

About Nonprofit of the Month

Each month, Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce announces a nonprofit of the month. This special promotion sponsored by South Atlantic Bank recognizes an outstanding nonprofit that is an investor with Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. The organization displays a banner at their place of business for one month recognizing them as the Nonprofit of the Month. The honor was first awarded to United Way of Horry County in January 2020.
