Horry County Combining Precinct Locations for February Primaries

Horry County will be combining some precinct locations for the February 2024 Presidential Preference Primaries.

The move is temporary and primary locations will return to normal locations for the June 2024 primaries. The Democratic Presidential Preference Primary is Feb. 3 and the Republican Presidential Preference Primary is Feb. 24. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for both.

Voter registration deadlines are coming up fast for the February primaries. Any eligible South Carolina resident must register to vote at least 30 days before an election to vote in that election. The state does not require anyone to register to vote with a specific party, however you may only vote in one of the primaries.

Republican Party Presidential Preference Primary: Thursday, Jan. 25

Early Voting

Early voting is available in three locations for two weeks immediately before each election.

Democratic Party Presidential Preference Primary: Monday, Jan. 22-Friday, Feb. 2 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. (except Jan. 28)

Republican Party Presidential Preference Primary: Monday, Feb. 12-Friday, Feb. 23 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. (except Feb.18-19).

You may vote at the Horry County Voter Registration Office at 1515 4th Ave. in Conway, the South Strand Recreation Center at 9650 Scipio Ln. in Myrtle Beach or the North Strand Recreation Center at 120 Hwy. 57 S. in Little River.
