HTC Named June Leading Business of the Month

HTC is our June 2020 Leading Business of the Month sponsored by South State Bank.

Horry Telephone Cooperative was founded in 1952 to provide phone services to rural Horry County and is now the largest telecommunications cooperative in the nation.

HTC regularly supports the community through a variety of service initiatives as part of their commitment to improving the quality of life in communities they serve.

Most recently, the company partnered with Horry County Schools to provide internet services to students who otherwise wouldn't have reliable internet access to foster e-learning efforts when schools were shuttered due to the pandemic.

HTC also is celebrating 30 years of membership with Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce this month.

About Leading Business of the Month

The first Wednesday of every month, Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce announces a Leading Business of the Month. This special promotion, sponsored by South State Bank, recognizes a company that has been a member of Myrtle Beach Area Chamber for a minimum of five years. The business is randomly selected. The company displays a banner at their place of business for one month recognizing them as the Leading Business of the Month. The honor was first awarded in September 2015.
