The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce (MBACC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jada Hudson as the new Public Policy Coordinator.

In her role, Hudson will collaborate with Jimmy Gray, MBACC vice president of public policy, to support advocacy-related activities, programs, research and communications, including monitoring legislation that impacts those who live, work and play in Horry and Georgetown counties.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Jada to our team,” said Karen Riordan, MBACC President and CEO. “Her passion for public policy will be invaluable as we continue to advocate for the interests of our members and the broader business community.”

Hudson graduated from the University of South Carolina’s Honors College in May 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in political science. During her time at the university, Hudson served as the president of the Association of African American Students, a speaker pro tempore of the Student Senate, a student assistant at the Office of Access and Opportunity, a student ambassador at the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, a legislative intern at the Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Services, and a student coordinator for the Multicultural Assistance Peer Program. Hudson is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., Omicron Delta Kappa and the NAACP.

“I’m incredibly excited to join the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce as the Public Policy Coordinator,” Hudson said. “This position offers a unique opportunity to effect meaningful change and positively impact the lives of those across the Grand Strand.”
