Autism & Inclusive Workplaces, 9 a.m.
Did you know the unemployment rate for people with autism is 90 percent? We've all heard about the benefits of employing people with autism - loyal, detail-oriented, dependable - but few know the accommodations that may be needed or how the entire process (interviews, hiring, onboarding, continued support) must be altered to have the venture be a success for all parties.
Join Becky Large, Greg Rosen, Frank Espinal and Lara Ceisel for a panel discussion that will provide an insight into what employers should consider and expect when hiring and working with people with autism. This session will be in a Q&A format moderated by Becky Large.

Inclusive Leadership, 9 a.m.
Have you ever wondered what it means to be an inclusive leader, what are the traits that all-inclusive leaders embody, and/or how does one use their positionality and power to reduce harm, empower others, and cultivate spaces that foster inclusion and belonging? This course invites participants to learn about why DEI matters to leaders, explore the six traits of inclusive leadership, reflect on their own identities, and how socialization influences the way in which we interact with each other to improve cultural competency.
