The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce (MBACC) and Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is unveiling a reinvented membership structure that’s designed to be simpler, more affordable and more effective for businesses and organizations across the Grand Strand. The new program, known as Membership+, will go into effect on July 1, 2022.
Among the changes, chamber and CVB membership will be combined into one, flat-rate investment that’s more affordable and simply determined by business type rather than number of employees or amount of revenue. In addition to the cost savings, investors will receive added benefits. For example, new to Membership+, all tourism-related investors will receive a basic listing on VisitMyrtleBeach.com at no extra charge.
“The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber and CVB is committed to serving our entire business community and now, through the Membership+ program, we can give members more exposure for less money,” said Cindy Gettig, vice president of business development.
In addition, the CVB is rolling out the Amplified Marketing Program (AMP), whereas businesses in the hospitality industry will now have the ability to add enhanced marketing services on an à la carte basis, giving flexibility and control to the business owner.
“For our hospitality businesses, AMP allows them to specifically select the marketing services that are right for them. Plus, AMP offers new, value-driven opportunities that will help investors grow their business by expanding their reach and introducing their products and services to new audiences,” said Stuart Butler, chief marketing officer.
“By reducing rates and simplifying options, the chamber and CVB hope to welcome more members and better serve our current investors through our educational, networking and promotional opportunities. What’s more, these changes will really help our small businesses, which are the backbone of our community, allowing them to more easily become part of both the chamber and the CVB,” said Karen Riordan, president and CEO.
