Palmetto Goodwill was named our June Nonprofit of the Month sponsored by South Atlantic Bank.
Palmetto Goodwill's mission is to help people achieve their full potential through the dignity and power of work.
Palmetto Goodwill joined Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce in 2007. Goodwill accepts donations of used household goods and clothing and resells them in warehouses across the state. In 2020, these efforts diverted 14 million pounds of goods from local landfills.
For several years, Palmetto Goodwill has partnered with us to host job fairs. They also offer services at their Career Opportunity Centers throughout the state including online training and resume assistance.
Each month, Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce announces a nonprofit of the month. This special promotion sponsored by South Atlantic Bank recognizes an outstanding nonprofit that is an investor with Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. The organization displays a banner at their place of business for one month recognizing them as the Nonprofit of the Month.
