Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and Visit Myrtle Beach are pleased to announce that Sandy Haines, director of group tour sales, has been awarded the 2024 Spirit of TAP Award by Travel Alliance Partners (TAP), a prestigious travel industry organization comprised of group tour operators and suppliers across the U.S. and Canada.
"We’re incredibly proud of Sandy for receiving this top industry recognition,” said Bob Harris, Visit Myrtle Beach’s executive vice president of group sales. “Her dedication to fostering strong partnerships with group tour operators across the country is a driving force behind why the Myrtle Beach area continues to grow as a destination for groups, meetings and sports events.”
Haines, who has worked for Visit Myrtle Beach for the past 32 years, received the Spirit of TAP Award during the organization’s annual conference held June 9-11 in Jeffersonville, Ind.
TAP is renowned for providing resources and programming to North American Tour Operators. Being recognized by such a distinguished organization underscores the high regard in which Haines is held by her peers and colleagues while celebrating the vibrant tourism industry in Myrtle Beach.
