In an effort to support the many Grand Strand nonprofits on their missions to supporting the community, Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce is publishing this monthly roundup of our nonprofit members current needs.

If you’re looking to get involved or give back, consider supporting the nonprofits below or in the chamber’s business directory.

The Art Museum is looking for volunteers to assist at their first Oysters and Art Festival on Saturday, Feb. 3. Volunteer responsibilities include meet and greet, checking tickets, handing out flatware and the like. Contact the Art Museum to learn more.

Meals On Wheels is collecting donations for their building fund as they look for a new kitchen facility.

Blood supplies are at critical lows across the country. Consider donating blood with the American Red Cross or The Blood Connection. The chamber has partnered with the Blood Connection to sponsor a blood drive on Feb. 13 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1217 38th Ave. N. You can save time in line by making an appointment.

The ALZ Foundation is seeking grant writing assistance. They also have event sponsorships available and are always accepting donations for their Carol’s Closet program.
