In an effort to support the many Grand Strand nonprofits on their missions to supporting the community, Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce is publishing this monthly roundup of our nonprofit members current needs.

If you’re looking to get involved or give back, consider supporting the nonprofits below or in the chamber’s business directory.


Children’s Recovery Center is seeking donations of snacks, small blankets and toys for the children they serve. Learn more

Eagle Cold Case and Missing Persons is looking for donations to support their efforts investigating unsolved homicides and missing persons cases. Learn more

The Go Get Your You Foundation is seeking donations of raffle items or financial contributions for their Juneteenth Festival.

Help4Kids is collecting Easter baskets and basket items (decorative grass, candy, eggs, etc.) to provide to children in their program. Learn more

The Myrtle Beach Area Hospitality Association is seeking donations for the 15th Annual Trio Dinner’s Silent Auction to be held April 15, 2024, at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. The dinner features local chefs paired with student chefs to compete for the best dish and this year they're adding a new twist by featuring top bartenders from the Grand Strand. The auction raises money for hospitality programs at Horry-Georgetown Technical College, the International Culinary Institute of Myrtle Beach and Coastal Carolina University. Submit donation form.

Palmetto Literacy Council is looking for volunteers to help children and adults who struggle with basic reading, writing and math. The nonprofit provides all materials and training and is looking for volunteers to provide one hour twice weekly tutoring at local libraries. Currently, volunteers are needed at the following locations:

  • 1 at Carolina Forest Library
  • 1 at Chapin Memorial Library
  • 7 volunteers at Conway Library
  • 10 at Socastee Library
  • 4 at Surfside Beach Library
