November 20, 2023

Starting this November, the chamber will be collecting submissions of needs from our nonprofit members once a month to help them spread the word about specific ways they may need help. And the first roundup of needs just happens to coincide with the holiday shopping season.

If you’re looking to spread cheer and goodwill, consider supporting the nonprofits below or in the chamber’s nonprofit business directory listing.

The ALZ Foundation is looking for holiday silent auction items and donations of either estate items or monetary contributions.

Careteam Plus Family Health and Specialty Care is looking for a full-size six passenger transport van with a high ceiling. The vehicle will be used to transport patients who have no other means of transportation to and from their medical appointments at Careteam Plus.

Champion Autism Network is looking for sponsors and silent auction items for their Totally Awesome 80’s Party and Chefs Challenge, board members and volunteers.

Gifts from the Heart is collecting silent auction items for their Pancake Supper with Santa.

Joint Task Force K9’s is looking for 5 acres of land within 30 minutes of the Socastee area where they can build a training center including a kennel and barracks. The nonprofit trains and pairs service dogs with veterans, active military members and law enforcement officers.

The Salvation Army of Horry County is again hosting the annual Angel Tree program to provide Christmas gifts to children and seniors. They also are looking for volunteer bell ringers.
