Keep Myrtle Beach Beautiful Receives Grant from PalmettoPride

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.—Keep Myrtle Beach Beautiful is pleased to announce PalmettoPride awarded the organization a Keep South Carolina Beautiful Support Grant in the amount of $6,690.

“Our grant programs provide resources that directly impact our communities at the local level,” said Sarah Lyles, Executive Director of PalmettoPride. “It is exciting to see the growth of litter prevention programs across the state, particularly in our rural counties.”

Included in the grant is $800 for lawn and garden tools and $600 for flowers to assist with beautification projects throughout the City of Myrtle Beach.

Keep Myrtle Beach Beautiful is holding several cleanup events this year, including a beach cleanup at Hurl Rocks Park on Feb. 26, their annual Cleanin’ for the Season Citywide Cleanup on March 30, and a beautification of Wither’s Swash Park on Earth Day, April 22.

Additional grant money will be used for attending the national Keep America Beautiful educational conference, national dues as well as t-shirts for volunteers.

Keep Myrtle Beach Beautiful is a program of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and an official affiliate of Keep America Beautiful.
