Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce Supports Inclusion and Acceptance for all Citizens

Today marks the 50th anniversary of the first Pride March, a celebration that began in honor of the Stonewall Riots of 1969 that helped further the rights of the LGBTQ community in our country.

While celebrations across America are limited due to the ongoing coronavirus, you can still show your support and celebrate this important milestone by participating in a virtual celebration or educational session, or through involvement with a local organization such as Pride Myrtle Beach Inc.

The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to support and encourage participation in these important events.

Earlier this week the City of Myrtle Beach issued a proclamation welcoming Pride Myrtle Beach Inc., an organization that will provide resources and advocacy for the local LGBTQ community. We are pleased to welcome this new organization to our local community. Their efforts are critical to building a more inclusive community that promotes diversity, dignity and equality.

We are committed to help build and support this equitable culture in our community for all our citizens and visitors.
